Efforts to Improve School Libraries Libraries are associations, foundations, or work units whose job is to collect library collections and provide them to local areas for use. An establishment is an independent association, while a work unit is an association within an association, so it has a parent organization. The reasons for libraries as independent associations do not seem to be the same as the motivation behind libraries as assistants to associations that have certain goals. The library's ultimate goal is to uphold the goals of its parent organization. A school library is a library held in a school, fully supervised by the school concerned, with the main objective of supporting the implementation and achievement of school goals and overall instructive goals. Schools are places to coordinate learning and cultivate experiences, providing and creating various qualities, science and innovation, abilities, expressions and pieces of knowledge to achieve the goals of public education. Therefore, school libraries are not only a place to store library materials (books and non-books), but efforts are also made to utilize them so that existing collections can be used by customers without limits. Efforts to improve school libraries have been stated in the National Library Standards (SNP), namely: These school library standards are the reason for school library managers. These standards apply to public school and school-based libraries including: a. Primary education appears as elementary schools (SD) and madrasah ibtidaiyah (MI) or other similar structures as well as secondary schools (SMP) and madrasah tsanawiyah (MTs), or other comparable structures; b. additional education such as Senior High School (SMA), Madrasah Aliyah (Mama), Vocational High School (SMK), and Professional Madrasah Aliyah (MAK), or other comparable structures. The library is located in a conventional training unit in a climate of essential and optional training that is an important part of the school's training and is a focus of learning assets to help achieve the school's instructive goals.Reasons for school libraries: School libraries are intended to provide focused learning assets so that they can help create and increase interest in reading, data skills, talents and abilities of students. Efforts to improve elementary school libraries also require contributions from schools and library managers, such as improving the role of school libraries properly, increasing information knowledge, technological knowledge of library managers regarding the role of libraries which, as time goes by, increases in management, increasing students' motivation in using libraries as Learning Resources. Libraries also need good services so that students will not get bored when they go to the library, for example, administration flow, endless reference benefits and education on library use. B.
